Description Okay, it's time to talk about the twelfth and final episode of Tokyo Mew Mew New second season; the chapter begins with Deep Blue strangling Ichigo/Zoey, who desperately tells Aoyama/Mark to stop, but Deep Blue tells her that Aoyama/Mark no longer exists and that he will use the Mew Aqua as he wants, but at this point, Aoyama/Mark, not having disappeared yet, tries to regain control of his body, telling Deep Blue not to hurt Ichigo/Zoey, causing Deep Blue to let go of Ichigo/Zoey, as they both try to struggle to regain control of his body, but Deep Blue manages to regain control of his body, saying that Aoyama/Mark's consciousness has been wiped out of existence completely, causing Ichigo/Zoey to despair and plead with him not to continue with his plan, but Deep Blue prepares to open a portal using the Mew Aqua for all the aliens to go through and reach Earth, much to Ichigo/Zoey's horror and Pai/Sardon's relief, who despite being badly injured, previously get to where Deep Blue and Ichigo/Zoey are. Deep Blue opens a portal above the dome of his ship and desperate, Ichigo/Zoey tries to stop him, but Deep Blue fires a black electrical beam at her to immobilize her and prevent her from getting close to him, but Ichigo/Zoey, determined, tries to reason with Deep Blue saying that if he does that, all humans will die on Earth and Deep Blue tells her that everyone on his planet has suffered a lot and that in order for the aliens to return to his planet, he must eliminate all humans, although Ichigo /Zoey tells him that no one should die and that both humans and aliens can live together on Earth, causing Deep Blue to become increasingly exasperated with Ichigo/Zoey's insistence, when at that moment, Aoyama/Mark appears as a spirit, having bieng moved by Ichigo/Zoey's words and stops Deep Blue from attacking Ichigo/Zoey, as the portal closes and Aoyama/Mark tries to talk to Deep Blue as well, making him see that being with Ichigo/Zoey, made him realize that not all humans are the same and that some fight to protect the Earth, but Deep Blue reaffirms that humans and aliens can never live together and tries to attack Ichigo/Zoey again, but she stops his attack with her weapon and Aoyama/Mark makes Deep Blue see that Ichigo/Zoey will defend the Earth and protect them all, managing to make Deep Blue change his mind and no longer wanting to destroy the Earth and upon seeing this, Pai/Sardon angrily appears from behind Deep Blue and stabs him in the back with his sword. With this act, Deep Blue's blood causes the portal to reopen to allow the aliens to return to Earth and so that the humans are destroyed and shocked, Ichigo/Zoey tells Aoyama/Mark that they have to work together to make humans and aliens coexist together, causing the portal to change color from blue to pink, when they both teleport out of Deep Blue's ship up into the sky, when Masha/Mini Mew, sensing the presence from Mew Aqua, flies to where Ichigo/Zoey and Aoyama are and transforms into a scepter and grabbing it, they both begin to purify the city, causing the plants to grow again and the water to return to the planet of the aliens and in turn, on Earth, Ichigo/Zoey's friends regain their strength just as Taruto/Tarb heals and Kisshu/Dren come back to life, when at that moment, Deep Blue appears near Ichigo/Zoey and thanks her, turning into Blue Knight and disappearing in a beam of light.
Returning to the ship, Ichigo/Zoey desperately tries to wake up Aoyama/Mark, when one of her tears falls on the bell that Aoyama/Mark gave her, causing him to wake up and the two kiss and at that moment, the other Mew Mews arrive where they are, happy to see that Ichigo/Zoey is fine and celebrate their victory, when at that moment, the three aliens appear in front of them to say goodbye to the girls and return to their planet, now that it is habitable: Taruto/Tarb says goodbye to Pudding/Kikki and she tells him to come visit her often, Pai/Sardon says goodbye to Lettuce/Bridget and Kisshu/Dren goes to Ichigo/Zoey, who, embarrassed because she knows that Kisshu/Dren loves her, doesn't know what to tell him, but Kisshu/Dren tells her to be happy with Aoyama/Mark and before leaving, he playfully kisses her on the cheek, making Ichigo/Zoey angry and Kisshu/Dren giggling and after that, the girls fly with Aoyama/Mark back to the ruined Cafe Mew Mew with Akasaka/Wesley and Shirogane/Elliot waiting for them for tea. A month after the fight, Ichigo/Zoey is walking down the street with her friends Moe/Megan and Miwa/Mimi and they ask if she is not sad that Aoyama/Mark is going to study abroad to be an ecologist, but Ichigo/Zoey tells them that she feels good about his decision, when at that moment, the girls disguised as ninjas arrive, kidnapping Ichigo/Zoey, covering her eyes and tying her up to take her to Café Mew Mew, where they dress her in a white dress to celebrate the farewell party for Aoyama/Mark who is going to study abroad and Shirogane/Elliot tells the girls that Mew Project has ended and that they don’t need to fight anymore, which makes the girls go csad. Later, Ichigo/Zoey accompanies Aoyama/Mark to see him off at the airport and while watching the plane take off (the song "My Sweetheart" is heard in the background) Ichigo/Zoey runs excitedly through the port deciding to become an ambassador of peace between humans and aliens to help the world of Kisshu/Dren as well while at the same time Mint/Corina started her own company to sell products in environmental care; Lettuce/Bridget became a guide to the marine museum while she establishes a long-distance relationship with Pai/Sardon, who now tends a farm with the help of Kisshu/Dren, who is delighted to savor some delicious strawberries; Pudding/Kikki now spends more time with her little siblings and is frequently visited by Taruto/Tarb and Zakuro/Renee is working together with Rika Minagawa preparing to give her next live concert and at the end of the episode, Shirogane/Elliot and Akasaka/Wesley arrive at Café Mew Mew, but are surprised to find the girls dressed as waitresses to continue working with them and they accept them, renaming the new place Café Mew Mew New.
Ok, I must say that this second season I came to like a little more than the first season, since the relationship between the girls is more noticeable and the development that each one has, although I feel that I like some things more than in the original anime and how the outcome develops with Deep Blue, although there are things that I liked more about this version than the original 2002 anime, although in general, I feel that the second season turned out to be more enjoyable than the first season, but the bad thing is that I feel that with 12 episodes in total, were not enough to give a deeper development to the plot and the characters although I liked that they put the song of “My Sweetheart” at the end of the episode again as they did in the finale of the first season and in general, I give this second season a final eight. Very good, but now I will leave Tokyo Mew Mew New aside and talk about a movie that is a special part of my childhood and is one of my favorites, even though the plot is very simple.
I remember that when I was a child and my sister and I often stayed at our grandparents' house when our parents went out, I watched this movie many times at my grandmother's house, since she had many VHS movies to watch with us and we always spent a good time at home watching this movie, which I liked so much because of the animation and the songs it had. This film is called: “Thumbelina”, based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen, directed by Gary Goldman and Don Bluth, created in 1994. The film is about a widowed woman (Barbara Cook) who had no children and how she wanted more than anything in the world to have a daughter, she went to visit a fairy who gave her a seed to plant in a pot (by the way, the story is narrated by a French swallow named Jacquimo, who is a bit silly and useless but charming character, since he could have taken Thumbelina to her house from the beginning and then look for the prince in The Valley Of The Fairies) and when the woman plant the seed, from it grew a beautiful flower and inside it, there was a little girl to whom she decided to name “Thumbelina” (Jodi Benson) and although Thumbelina was happy living on the farm with her mother and the animals, she longed to meet someone her size one night when her mother read her a story about the fairy prince and princess and she asked if one day she would meet a fairy and that same night, she meets a handsome red-haired young man, who turns out to be the prince of fairies named Cornelius (Gary Imhoff) (I admit that when I was little, I always had a crush on Cornelius and I found him very handsome and he was one of my crushes of one my favorite animated movies), with whom goes flying on his bumblebee all over the swamp, drawing the attention of an ugly toad who also falls in love with Thumbelina and after that ride, Cornelius proposes to Thumbelina, telling her that he will go to look for her the next morning, but unfortunately, Mrs. Toad (Charo) ends up kidnapping Thumbelina to marry her son Grundel (Joe Lynch) but she manages to escape with the help of Jacquimo (Gino Conforti) and other forest insects, who tell her that they will help her return to her home while Jacquimo searches for Prince Cornelius (who constantly tells Thumbelina to follow her heart and that she mustn’t give up and that nothing is impossible), who in turn searches for Thumbelina upon learning that she was kidnapped by the toads and during her adventure, Thumbelina will meet several characters, including a womanizer beetle (Gilbert Gottfried) and a blind mole (John Hurt), who fall in love with her and a mouse (Carol Channing) who is only interested in marrying for money, but at the end of the story, Jacquimo takes Thumbelina to The Valley Of The Fairies, managing to reunite with Cornelius, who had frozen in a lake, but was saved by some insects and the two get married causing Thumbelina to become the princess of the fairies and see her mother again at the wedding and the two live happily ever after.
The film may not be the best among those by Don Bluth, but for me, it was always a story that I enjoyed watching, although there were things that annoyed me, for example Jacquimo's naivety and uselessness throughout the film and above all that Thumbelina was very pessimistic and that everything bad happened to her, making her very negative and not all the characters were so nice, although I admit that I liked the songs (some of them) a lot and my favorite was without a doubt "Let me be your wings", which Cornelius sang to Thumbelina during their flight in the swamp, “Soon” and “Follow your heart” and I liked the animation a lot along with the music, which I feel are the strong parts of this movie and I always thought that Thumbelina and Cornelius were a nice couple (despite the fact that there is hardly much interaction between them), but I always found the way in which Cornelius is kind, chivalrous and attentive to Thumbelina to be cute and has all the attributes that a romantic man should have and although there are things that I don't like about the film, it is part of the beautiful memories of my childhood. 🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏻🧚🏻‍♂️💐🌷🌹🪻🪷🌺🌸🌼🌻🌲🌳🪵🌱🌿☘️🍀☀️🌕🌈💦💧🌊⛰️🏔️🗻🏕️🎑🏞️💕💞💓💗💖💘💝
