Okay, now it's time to talk about another Christmas movie, which I was used to seeing at Christmas time and which I know for many, is not the best Disney direct-to-video sequel. I know that for many people, this is one of the worst Disney sequels, but to be honest, I grew up watching this movie countless times and even though I know it doesn't live up to the first movie because of its animation and music, but I enjoyed it a lot, although I agree that there are some things that are not congruent or that do not follow the events of the first movie, but even so, I enjoy the movie and the songs it has and that I saw it everytime it was aired on the Disney Channel. This movie is called: Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. The story begins with the characters from the original movie decorating the castle for Christmas and Chip asks his mom, Mrs. Potts, to tell him the story of how Christmas came back to the castle and that's where the movie begins: the events of the story take place while Belle is still a prisoner in the Beast's castle, when winter begins and this gives Belle an idea to decorate the castle for Christmas to surprise the Beast, to which the castle servants consider it a good idea, except Cogsworth, who tries to dissuade Belle, while the Beast, upon finding out what Belle wants to do, reacts furiously, because he hates Christmas (it turns out that the sorceress turned him into a Beast and put a spell on the castle during Christmas) and in turn, Forte, the gigantic organ that was once the prince's music maestro, tries to do his best to prevent Belle and the Beast from falling in love so that everyone remains spellbound forever, so in more than once occasions, he tries to get in the way of Belle's Christmas plans to sabotage her and turn her against the Beast, who behaves rudely and angrily towards everyone and during one of Forte's plans, Bella almost loses her life trying to find the best Christmas tree to decorate the castle, although in the end, Belle manages to change Beast's mind, who stops Forte and in the end, they all celebrate Christmas together in the castle and at the end of the story, Belle and the prince shows up to celebrate Christmas with everyone and the prince gives Bella a red rose and together they look at the night sky.
The truth is that I admit that there are some things about the movie that I don't like, such as the fact that Beast is rude to Belle (because supposedly up to this point, he had already saved Belle from the wolves) and the fact that new characters were introduced in this story that didn't even appear in the previous movie, although I did like the songs “As long as there's Christmas” and “Stories” (I like the second song much more since it talks about how beautiful it is to read, because it transports you to other worlds and opens the imagination) and to be honest, I think Forte is a very underrated villain and quite cruel and scary (it certainly had a lot to do with the fact that he was animated in 3D, since he scared me a lot as a child and I even consider him a better villain than Gaston) even though I know the animation and music don't compare to the first movie, it still brings back a lot of childhood memories watching this movie and I really like watching it in Christmas.
