Description The first time I discovered this series on Netflix, at first it didn't attract my attention, but after seeing the trailer, I decided that the series was worth watching and since then, it has become my favorite animated series because of the story, the well-structured and well-developed characters, animation, music from various bands I know like Imagine Dragons and some great fight scenes that give an incredible twist to the story and now I'm looking forward to the premiere of the second season. This series that I am talking about is called: Arcane, a French-American animated television series of adventure and drama set in the universe of League of Legends, a video game series, created by Christine Linke and Alex Yee in 2021 and it deals with themes such as inequality, guilt, corruption, dilemmas and more, handled for a more adult audience. The plot of the story focuses on the cities of Piltover and Zaun. Although Arcane focuses only on these two cities, they belong to the Runeterra world. Piltover is the academic and scientific and wealthy city, while Zaun is the opposite, with suburbs full of crime, poverty and infested with toxic chemicals, where there is no authority whatsoever, but mainly, the story focuses on Vi (Violet) and Jinx (Powder), two sisters who live in the poor district of Zaun and who are separated during the course of the story (although the story also focuses on the development of other characters such as Jayce, Viktor, Caitlyn, Ekko, Silco, among others). Vi and Powder are two sisters, who lose their parents when they are murdered by Piltover vigilantes and are taken in by Vander along with other orphaned children and learn to survive on the streets, but find themselves involved in a larger conflict as children, when Silco, the criminal leader of Zaun's underworld, feared by everyone in the city and on a mission to experiment with a new purple drug, called shimmer, who has a feud with Vander when he captures him, forcing Vi along with Mylo and Claggor in going to rescue him, leaving Powder behind, who feels left out and who is emotionally dependent on her sister, decides to go after them by creating a bomb with shimmer, causing a tragedy, ending the lives of her friends and Vander and being separated from her sister Vi and taken in by Silco, being renamed Jinx, a deranged and mentally unstable girl skilled in weapons while Vi is arrested and locked up, training hard in prison and being an expert in physical combat, when she meets Caitlyn, a Piltover guard who breaks her out from prison to look for her sister, feeling guilty for having left her behind and a conflict breaks out between the two sisters and when they finally meet again, things end up getting even more complicated, Vi being loyal to Caitlyn and Jinx to Silco and the relationship of both of them ends in pieces at the end of the series, leaving an ambiguous ending and Iā€™m eager to know what will happen next in the second season, after Silco's death and with Jinx firing a missile at the council, seemingly killing them all. The truth is that the series is very entertaining and my two favorite characters in the series are Vi and Jinx, since I like both of their designs; Vi is the older sister; strong, determined, impulsive, rude, impatient, stubborn and tomboyish who fights to protect those she loves with badasses tattoos on her arms and body and fighting for her beloved district and Jinx is her little sister who also has tattoos on her body; psychotic, mocking, sarcastic, deranged and vulnerable who seeks to feel accepted, be strong and recognized by others. I definitely recommend watching the series for the reasons mentioned above, because it is worth feeling a connection with the story and the characters for its good development and its impressive music and whose final rating I give it is a ten (equivalent to five stars).
