Do any of you think that Rosalina “works hard, plays hard”?

That's basically what I've exactly thinking of. Even though she has a terrible past, she can still be competitive in spinoffs as well. That makes her more realistic (rather than staying calmer and reserved like in Galaxy)

First of all, let me get this out of the way:
As much as I love her, it's not the reason they changed her voice and personality abruptly. It's become more and more apparent now that Rosalina is getting up to grips with the Mario cast in both Mainstream and Spinoff games. You don't seriously want to expect her to be more reserved and serious all the time. Yes, I know that in her first few games that she's appeared, she's more motherly and calm. But they want to make sure that she's more of a not just a one-dimensional character but to become more and more fun and enjoyment to enlighten her a bit from Mario, Luigi, DK and others in racing fast-paced karts, joining in sports activities and so on. As in they want her to become more realistic to her deeds and to convey something, meaning that Rosalina is just a human being which happens to be having two entities: The Cosmic one and the normal. The Cosmic is where she has that deep echoey voice that people get into grips with, and say that Mercedes is the most suitable voice for her. Whereas the normal one is where she's on the land where the cast where resides to become a name for herself in the game, most of you don't even know why she has now a high-pitch noice mistakenly to be claming to be sounded like Peach, which is BS.
As for the Rosalina Overrated stuff:
Rosalina AIN'T overrated! That word is becoming more overused and annoying in the same time. Because they new she very marketable in term's of popularity and the huge fanse that she got. Does not mean that you could claim her as one. The reason why we as fans defending her is simply this. Rosalina has JUSTIFIED her existence to build and to appear to the younger audience where people who just used to the Mario franchise and Nintendo as a whole, and we know it.

I love Rosalina but I'm confused why she appears in almost every game. She's kind of overated by Nintendo and maybe the fans, also, she was in Super Smash Bros 4 without Daisy and Super Mario World without Daisy. I'm not a nostaliga tard but I think Daisy is the more underated princess by the fans and I feel bad for her. Nintendo should at least give Rosalina a break for once like Bowser Jr. when he wasn't in MK8, maybe because he's a popular character. I'm sorry about my rant, it's just I feel I need to get it off my chest.

Eh, it seems Mario and Sonic characters have opposite treatment. Sonic characters are treated as irrelevant except the times where they relate to something, like an event in Generations or a massive game like the Olympics. Mario characters are pushed as relevant regardless of what is going on.

Mainly because of the voice and personality she has nowadays. And she claims that this is one of the main reasons why she doesn't like Rosalina anymore.
That's why I preferred her newer voices that the old one. No offence to Mercedes Rose, I really do love her style of voice for her. As much as I wanted her back to reprise her voice again. I just don't think in reality that she can be reserved all the time in spinoffs (such as Mario Kart). Because she's getting used to the environment she's in. Whether in Mainstreams or Spinoff, doesn't matter to me now that the changing of her voice affects her personality, is part of her development and that's common sense.

I think the reason is because she has friends like Mario, which probably made her lighten up a bit.

As much as I love Rosalina. But in my unpopular opinion, Nintendo is making sure that Rosalina can be not a one-dimensional character (being calm, mysterious, motherly) but also It makes a lot of sense for her to moved on from past. Basically she's breaking the mold from being depressed all the time to become more competent and independent being in the Mario series. That's why I believe, Rosalina is relatable to many and I also think that Nintendo did a good job on her.
Sorry for the late rant, just gonna let it out of my chest.

Hey no problem! That makes a lot of sense, and to be honest, that old comment of mine was kinda crusty anyway. Really sucking up to popular opinion when, in reality, I absolutely love this character development, and I love your explanation. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but I did like to see Rosalina having fun without being solemn or broody.

I don't think it is as much of a personality change as a bad voice actress. It makes me hate current Rosalina and Rouge the Bat, as the same situation happened with Rouge with Strassman. Odd that I always equated those two.

I honestly like it. It shows Rosalina character development. In the Galaxy games, she's shown to be shy, quiet, and a bit lonely. But after meeting Mario and Luigi, she starts to become a lot more open and less shy. In my honest opinion, Mario and Luigi were the ones who got Rosalina to open up and show more of her true self.

I disagree. Rosalina, in my opinion, has not really changed that much. Yes she is not as serious or monotone as she was in the Galaxy games, but that's because of the mood of the spin-off games. Think about it: if Rosalina's character and personality wasn't slightly altered, she would not fit in. Also, Rosalina is NOT the first character in the Mario franchise to under go slight personality changes (Ex. Daisy and Luigi) and she's not the only character to act differently in spin-off games (remember Strikers Peach?)
I'm not trashing your opinion or saying you are wrong, but I honestly feel that Rosalina's character has not been altered completely, just toned down because of the role she plays in recent games. That's all.

This is the most true thing ever.
In SMG games, yes, she was as unexpressive as Cyrus (if you know Pokémon you'll understand),but this was far more believable than her actual form.
I like Rosalina but I think that now she just wants to act superior to Peach and Daisy. Since I like Peach and Daisy more,I feel a bit upset by this.

I do believe Rosalina has a terrible and unforgetable past. She can show that "not anything that it's lost, even though you lost something" type of scenario.
Rosalina ain't gonna act superior to Peach & Daisy, so she can have fun and to be badass as well. Since Mario paved her the way to give her another chance to be happy again. After being isolated and lonely for so long. If you paid attention to every page in the Storybook in Galaxy.
So in summation, don't expect Rosalina to stay where she used to be in Galaxy. Expect the new found surroundings and a fresh lifestyle in her in the Mario games and spinoffs.

In my unpopular opinion, honestly I kinda like it. It makes sense for her to be happy again after so long. Since she only has the Lumas to converse with.
Now with Mario gave her another chance to be happy again. He invites her in more games such as Mario Kart. Thanks to him, she can live and start afresh for her to become used in her newfound skills.
As much as I want Mercedes back, it's also safe to say that Rosalina has moved on now From become lonely (as some of her fans pointed out). Honestly, don't expect her to be believable just like in Galaxy. Instead, expect to see Rosalina enjoying herself with the gang, and that's why I like Laura's high-pitched voice (sure, she might be sounded like Peach at first), at least she tried keeping her character intact.
