This is a really interesting piece. It has many aspects to it, with the background happenings being as interesting as the man in the foreground. I love all the varied textures. The whole piece has a really odd mood to it. I can't quite place it.

HEh ..i love the use of the wooden mask-face thing ...great use of it !...THis haunts me with the childhood Nursery Rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle .. THe cat and the fiddle...THe cow jumped over the moon ! "

i realize the other one incorporates "more" folklore... and is interesting for it...but just for visual appeal...i like this one better has it is more dramatically presented with the close up of the fiddler and his slightly juxtaposed angle to the slanted horizon ..
