how do you scan your drawings and have them look good and not faded?

I mostly play with the brightness/contrast settings when I scan it but you can also try these settings in photoshop after you scan. There are lots of good tutorials on dA on how to get clean scans.

Ah Ha! I have a solution to this conundrum! Find a blanket, throw it over your cat, pick the cat up and move it somewhere else, it may struggle and resist, but the blanket makes a good buffer from its attacks, and you will gain access to your socks.
