I got the RX-78 GP02 A Gundam "Physalis" SD toy in the mail today and I gotta say I am very impressed! This SD Gundam is equipped with 2 green beam sabers, a freaking huge atomic bazooka (that's right, it launches a nuke!) and an enormous shield to protect from the explosion of it's own weapon! It's also got some big shoulder-mounted jet boosters and the front end of the bazooka can be stored in the shield when not in use. This is the overseas release so his eyes don't light up but it has good detail in them and he's got a better paint job than the GP01 Fb.This is one badass robot and I wouldn't wanna mess with a gundam that can launch a nuke!

Now this guy and the two other gp master grade kits really need a 2.0 as the current mg gp02A canβt hold its big shield up due to its weight

Yeah his bazooka launcher,but for me his bazooka's a disadvantage for him when it comes to fighting a gundam with some Holy Shit fast speed and for being a melee expert

Maybe because once his shield was disarmed or his bazooka's slice into half,he will never be able to use it at all(escpecially when he was fighting with a Gundam faster than him)

well he did get rid of the entire bazooka once he had launched the nuke.Β Don't forget that when he fights, he can store the front end of his bazooka in his shield.

I already knew about because I fought him using Gundam Exia in The PSP game Gundam vs Gundam
(and I also use this bulky-ass in the same game too so unlike the other Gundams,he won't lose his shield at all)

Gundam Physalis... Model number RX-78GP02A. One of four mobile suits that were part of the Gundam Development Project that occurred in Universal Century 0083.
It's the only Gundam that has ever been armed with a nuke. It was made by the Federation as a countermeasure to the Zeon Remnants' effort in creating mobile suits with nuclear capabilities. But in Zeon's mind, the Physalis was a violation of the Antarctic Treaty. The GP02A is highly maneuverable despite being one of the largest gundams in UC history. Armed with head-mounted vulcan guns and torso-mounted beam sabers, the Physalis was designed in conjuction with the GP01 Zephyranthes. Due to having a nuke, it had extensive heat and radiation shielding to protect it from nuclear blasts. In addition having a nuke was it's biggest flaw. If the nuclear bazooka was ever destroyed, it would have to rely on it's thick armor, large shield and beam sabers as a means of defense. If a skilled pilot had a hold of it, the disadvantage would be pure moot.
In UC 0083, the Physalis was stolen by Zeon remnants and piloted by the Nightmare of Solomon, Anavel Gato. Despite his success, he ends up crossing paths with Kou Uraki, a Federation pilot who would ultimately wield the RX-78GP01 Zephyranthes. Their battles would ultimately lead them to outer space and the full power of the Physalis was unleashed. After passing through Federation defenses, Gato took aim and fired the nuke wiping out two-thirds of the EFSF space fleet. As he escaped, he once again encountered Kou Uraki (now having an upgraded GP01FB). Unlike their previous encounters, the two were evenly matched and ultimately, their ensuing battle caused the destruction of both mobile suits.
