when i saw this for the first time, i got remembered to S.T.A.L.K.E.R . there is not so much smog, but its much more grey. by the way: nice photo^^

Oh dear. This is one nasty smog.
Somehow it reminded me that every Estonian who lives in Tallinn (the capital, has about 430 000 inhabitants) loses seven months of his/her life because of the air pollution. And I haven't seen any big smog in here...

no. It was super dark 6AM local time, so I had to brighten it in photoshop-thus the noise.

I'm guessing Vitaly gets around, doesn't he? I've never seen that many photos of Russia... So this is going to go into favourites... I'm planning a trip to the Kremlin for next year, however. I'm hoping I'll get to my deadline. It'd be a shame if I didn't....

That's crazy -- it's horrible to think that humanity is killing our planet in such ways, but there's some sick kind of beauty to the shot (I'm not sure if the desaturation is enhanced in Photoshop or naturally there, but it's definitely something either way).
