After much trial and error, I've discovered a new way to submit ROM.AC graphic novel to DA in its true animated .gif frames and glitch-text format that also stops shrinking the image into a hideous thin line!That's right, DA... you can't shrink THESE panels with your G-damn stupid automatic resize!

I agree this is a very problem- "literature" is the only current category that allows for upload of a single file that contains multiple images, multiple videos, urls, custom text and other CSS code.
This physically can't be placed into "digital art" because of the journal-style HTML encoding itself.
I can't emphasize this more: the cartoons & comics category of Deviantart DOES NOT support multiple, long-frame-format .gif animated webcomics:
This is the ONLY WAY that I can have every frame as cinemagraph animations and text as glitch effects like its displayed on my own website.

The techical excuse it's not satisfying as an answer.
You know that this earns popularity because of the picture and not the words. It certainly belongs to comics.
Deviantart has many problems and the solution is not to start eating each other. Complain for this malfunction, don't transfer it to other categories.
Even more when this category it's literature which the two last years suffers much more than any other category because of malfunctions that da does not fix. To be more precise it's full of misplafed deviations of other arts and this combined with the random algorithm results to a top page of literature on the lists hot/week/month which is really unworthy. And on the day lists the real first one he's always moved to the second page of the all kinds list and loses his chance for exposure.
If you that you are really respected here starts doing this they will follow many-many more and da will be ruined even more than now.

find me another category that supports upload of html files that include multiple cinemagraphs.
have you read my comic at all? it's made of multiple animated panels, videos, music and css. it's html art!
the category can't be switched out of literature, I just tried it - it's stuck there.

It's been explained multiple times why it was put in this category: because of website limitations, not because of user fault.
You're ignoring all of that and accusing the artist of "cheating" (even though the category doesn't actually affect much on here).

There is a book of 1000 pages and this is just the latest more recent one. You suggest to write a new book just for you because you are lazy to find the old one. If you were applying yourself the advices you give you would know of this book, but you are what you are and you speak just to speak.

I mean, just look at Antoine de Saint Exupery. He write "The little prince", such an awesome bookΒ that everyone in the world reads. And it have art. A lot of art, almost every page have a drawing of the Prince or other characters. Art that the same author drew and painted for the book.Β
