The new Hobbit movie is approaching and I'm working on Thorin's armor.I'm really enjoying this project and I'm pretty much statisfied so far, gotta get on finishing legs and the shield.
I WILL HAVE WAR!

Hey there awesome armor, and a set that I intend to make for myself someday. Any chance you can upload a picture of what the back of the armor looks like? Also how did you get reference for the back of the armor? I don't think it ever really shows it in the movie. Thanks for any help that you're willing to give me.

This ! This is why EVA foam is a blessing from the Gods. I'm unfortunately just getting started on my build after having to go on a hiatus for a month. I fear I won't get it done in time for the premiere. Which is quite frustrating to say the least. But your 's is looking fantastic ! Your transitions are smooth as hell.

EVA foam is my favourite material, it can be carved perfectly with a dremel tool and there's pretty much nothing you can't make with it!
And it's cheap as hell compared to other termoplastics, this whole armor plus shield will cost me less then 50$ in materials!

No, it's not worbla, I thought it wouldn't be the most suitable material for such a build, I used high thickness EVA foam
