Colored sketch commission for ! Featuring Fredric trying to just relax and read a comic book and Millians decides to see what he's up to~This was quite fun to do! Both because I'm slightly familiar with these characters (at least their old versions) and also because I enjoy drawing interesting animals like ferrets because I rarely ever draw things like them! And also coloring sketches is fun :D
Also I think I love that chair. Yes. Yes just a little bit. Also that iguana tail.

I know I already said a lot over Skype, but I'm going to say even more right here~
There is not a single thing I don't love about this picture. First off, the colors you chose for this are great, and I love the coloring style you used. I think you should experiment with it a bit more, becasue it really looks nice. The shading is fab as well, and I'm glad you had fun with that part.
Their wardrobes are superb, too. I particularly like the accents on Millie's outfit. That and Fredric's pants. I don't know why. X3
Their expressions are also lovely. XD Fred looks genuinely distressed over Milians stnading over him... with her hair drooping on his hat. And let's talk about Millie herself; she's such an adorable dorkface, but in the best way. X"D And she's come a long way from her first draft~
Overall, I must say this of all the commissions I've requested of you, this is my favorite. There's not one thing here that isn't freaking amazing, and I love you for it. <3

I'm not sure what about this style I like but it just looks... more illustration-y? Something like that! And all I did was duplicate the lines to make them darker! :0

I sort off notice some Irony in this picture, I think in the wild Ferrets hunt rabbits not entirely sure.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was true. They are carnivorous after all! Weasels are pretty mean suckers and I know Ermine are so I could see them hunting down an animal the same size or bigger than themselves. xD

I do remember weasels capture rabbits and after catching them they bite down on their neck to quickly dispatch of it.

Sorry for a bit of a late reply, but that is very true! Well, mostly.
Fredric is based of a black-footed ferret, whose diet mainly consists of Prairie dogs. However, Millie is (mostly) based off of an arctic hare, which a ferret might not consider prey. We'll get to that part at the end.
Now if Freddy-boy were an ermine⦠then we may get a scene like this. See, ermines DO prey on hares occasionally, but they're usually kits.
Now with all that said, black-footed ferrets are about 15 inches long (nose to hindquarters), while ermines are typically 7.4 to 12.8 inches. So in all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if a ferret would hunt a hare if they lived in the same habitat.

I remember two ferrets that I usually played with at the animal shelter that I volunteered at. They were sooooooo cute!

I always totally adored ferrets: a friend of mine back in elementary school had 2 of them that she'd bring to school on special occasions. I probably would have owned one at some point were it not for how everyone says they have a horrible musk. I don't know how true it is, but my mom would not have it!
