Description i don't want to put it in "fan art".

it looks like a travel poster, and i think that's funny.

Would you mind if I used this in a Prezi presentation for school?

This is really very well done! My copy had such horribly WRONG cover art (a man in a space-suit on a barren flat rocky planet!) that I google image searched for a TRUE image - and yours struck me right away! I LOVE the way you've rendered the green rock wall of the edge of the harandra. It's just perfect. I love the travel-poster feel of the whole thing - especially the way you've written Malacandra - even the way you divided up the word (I'm sure done for the visual/aesthetic effect) is still in keeping with their language! ("malac" and "andra" being two halves of the full name). This is so great - well done. You should do similar posters for the others in the series!

I think so far yours is the best, and most graphically eye-catching and attractive, of all the Malacandra images I've seen.

(One question: did it seem overkill to put in the second moon? The single moon looks so great from an aesthetic standpoint... I wonder if you tried it with both & decided against it?)

Hello!

Wow, I am flattered by your response. Not often does one receive such a thought-out comment, let alone such a positive one - haha!

I am glad you like the drawing! It's fun to meet other people who also love those books, and "get" them. C.S.Lewis blows my mind every time I read his stuff. I think Perelandra is one of my favorite books of all time - the only theological treatise I've ever read that's actually an i-can't-put-it-down page-turner.

About the moon - I wish I could say I'd put all that thought into it, but I didn't. Honestly, as far as I remember, that's supposed to be the sun. I don't think I considered including the moons.

I love this picture. I used it in a blog post about the book. I linked back to here and gave you credit. If you'd rather me not use the book, let me know and I'll find a different picture. I love it!

Nice Indian-shaman-shapes on the side. Are those supposed to be like the pfilltriggi carvings?

Canyon is sorta indistinct, but an excellent reflection in the water.
