Description
I'd like it made into a window. I think it'd look nice in my dustly little library, complementing the merman stained-glass window. (which I have yet to draw). (I have yet to get the library, too.)
Anyhow... it's a mermaid. I love mermaids.
I was trying to use this coral/red color scheme, because apparently coral indicates fiery temper and exotic wildness. Something like that. I also employed direct eye contact and some stark color contrasts (blue and green) to try and get the feeling across. I dunno how it worked, really... but even if it totally didn't I like the picture anyway.
Well, beside the color/mood consideration, I did the colors (of the rocks and water) the way they looked at Thunder Hole, on the coast of Acadia National Park, on one summer afternoon when my family spent about five hours sitting on the rocks, staring down at the waves. It was a very relaxing day. I guess the hours spent contemplating the same group of rocks couldn't help but leave a mark in my brain.
