Needed to draw something Prydain related. Needed to get my ID off my front page. Thus, Eilonwy quickie. Will be scrapped as soon as I get something better to put here.(Hmm...I need to draw Taran sometime...)

this is almost exactly how i saw eilonwy when i was reading the books, and yes, the disney version is horrible, i think lloyd alexander should actually make the movies with real actors and not stupid disney drawings

It was the movie, which I watched back in 1985, that made me aware of the Celtic world of Eilonwy and Taran--a world to which I might be related, since many in Puerto Rico are of Galician ancestry.

Well, Lloyd Alexander is dead so it would be up to some studio to see the potential in his works and buy the copyright. But I agree, it would be wonderful.

Haha, no, it's fine. I actually didn't really mind the Disney version, but unfortunately now their Taran and Eilonwy are in the general conciousness, so...(EILONWY WAS COMPLETELY REDHEADED. GAR.)
(Though I have to say, I'm kind of fond of the Disney character design for Taran...)
I'll try some more characters...I sketch them sometimes. By the by, I'm a huge fan of your Prydain work--I've followed it for a quite a while, and you've always had a great sense of the human form and movement, but it's been nice to watch your digital painting abilities improve to match that quality. I sort of gave up on acheiving a realistic painting style in the digital medium a few years ago, but I've always secretly wanted to do what you do

I love these books so much. I was so happy to find someone draw her in a style that didn't mimic the disney version. Wish I could offer some meaningful critique, but you'll have to settle for I really love it.
