"Are you out of your mind?! You practically had us both killed out there... And please stop pointing that rifle at me!"Poor Nathan had no idea what he was getting himself into when he reluctantly accepted to embark on a treasure quest with Ms. Croft.
If two video game characters should find themselves in the same game one day, it's certainly those two: Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) and Nathan Drake (Uncharted) . It would be smokin' hot, tons of fun and the potential for banter would be endless! And did I mention sexual tension? Also, Nate all dressed in black = sex on two legs. Just sayin'.
Someone please talk to the folks at Naughty Dog and Crystal Dynamics (or Square Enix) to convince them to do this... Can you imagine the co-op campaign for that game??!! Holy crap, it would simply be epic...

Oh! And the picture is very nicely drawn! I love the motion blurs. Makes it seem like a moving scene and not just a still image.

Thank you but this isn't a drawing. I do draw but this would have been an epic undertaking and I simply don't have the patience. This piece was made using 3D models, similar to the ones used in the games. And the motion blur is probably due to the fact that I tried to get rid of some of the pointy edges that the models sometimes have where there should be curves instead.

Lara is one bossy lady and Nate is more a "go-with-the-flow" kinda guy as we all know ("I have no idea...").
They won't be able to get along very well and they'd fight all the time until the point they need to take action before they're killed or something. XD
But yeah, 'Uncharted' replaced 'Tomb Raider' for me eve since I played 'Uncharted' (the first).
Because the creators of the 'Tomb Raider'-games weren't really doing it right.
They're once again trying to reboot it, and while it looks promising, I don't think it will be able to take back its place.
It seems like they took some ideas from the 'Uncharted'-franchise.
But it still looks very refreshing and it might become a renewed franchise, so I'll give this one a try for a new start.

Looks great! I really hope there's an actual Drake model for XNALara...someone managed to rip the .pak files from PS3 but unfortunately there's no way to extract the models or textures for now.

I have several of the extracted files but too bad there's no way to extract the textures yet. Btw right now I'm working on a Drake mesh-mod with Love2Raid in TRF (I'm just doing the textures actually as I don't know mesh-modding). You can see the head here [link] if you're interested

It's actually a pretty good start. The hair is perfect! I love Nate's hair - which is a lot coming from me since I usually don't like hair on just about any video game character because it looks so unnatural most of the time. But somehow Naughty Dog have managed to give Nate a pretty realistic head of hair - unlike what they did with Elena...

LOL! No, unfortunately there is no such thing but I would be soooo happy if there was. Someone tried to make one at some point but the result was very disappointing because even though the clothes were fine, the face didn't look like him.

Dang, I guess that's probably because there's no copy of the game for the PC so you can't just rip the model and textures. Though then that begs the question on how CarbinT's FFXIII models turned out so much better than most other XNALara models I see.

Exactly... I wish someone could find a way to import textures from the PS3 and possibly share it with other XNALara users. As for CarbinT, I have no idea how he did it with FFXIII either but the guy is ridiculously talented.

No kidding, those FFXIII models are the best ones I currently have for XNALara. Most of the ones out there sadly don't seem to have "faceposing" which makes decent pictures a bit difficult.

I really love the uncharted series. Lara Croft though was getting rather dated and the game play sucked. Pretty sure Nat is more of a human that lady lara although I read thats about to change. Nat is just a kick ass guy that everyone would want to know. Down to earth and hes does not get EVERYTHING right. He really is a 3D character.

You're right. Nate is a very "relatable" character compared to Lara Croft who often comes off as rather haughty, although she does have a great sense of humor at times. But I think what would have made a Nate/Lara dynamic rather interesting is that sort of polarization of their personalities.
And yes, the next Tomb Raider will finally present Lara as less of a cross between a human being and a super hero, and more like a real, flawed person. She'll be much younger and she will actually get wounded and scared so that should be very interesting to see and experience. I'm definitely looking forward to this reinvention of her character as well as the game itself.

Me too. Although I always watch the hubby play since I get totally frustrated. My hands and eyes are sooo out of sync! Not sure if he will want the knew tomb raider. But I might have to buy it for him.

I used to have the same problem when I started gaming last year. TR Underworld was actually my first real video game and I thought it was so ridiculously hard. But at the same time, I really wanted to learn and get better and I figured I had to hang in there if I wanted to see any kind of progress eventually.
I don't know how many times I killed poor Lara on my first playthrough and there were plenty of times when I just wanted to fling my controller across the room. But I still finished the game and when I went back to it in Treasure Hunt mode a couple of months later, I was amazed at how much easier it was for me to redo certain sections. There was one in particular where Lara had died many, many times the first time around and when I went back to it, I did it in one shot. Practice is a big part of it, you can trust me on this. And if you feel like you don't have the patience for it, well... there's always your hubby!

I think the first game I played was FF 8 and the part with the large robot spider really made me mad. I finally asked the hubby, my boyfriend at the time to help me! I can do it now that I have watch him do it but I decided I will watch him play a game and then play it myself. I am a cheater!

Haha! Well, since I don't have anyone else to play the hard parts for me, I normally use a walkthrough and I feel no shame about it at all. I'd rather do that then stop playing a game completely simply because I'm not using the right strategy to get out of a very sticky situation. So I guess that makes me a cheater too, then! LOL!

No I hear you. I was playing FFX and those stupid temple puzzles really pissed me off so I had to use a walk thru book even though I had watch him play it like twice. Bleh. Funny thing is when he is playing I help him with the puzzles. I am odd I guess!
