no offence to your raichu, but Pokémon must be naturly raised and not with evolving stone so your out of luck!

But evolving by trade is okay, right (Alakazam, Gengar, Scizor-they all have mega evolutions)? You give away your buddy, then you get him back. And if the other person is a bit "mean", he/she keeps it.
I don't see your problem. If it would not be a game, but for real, I would ask her about it, but in this way, pikachu never complained... (and why would it complain, again?)

yes, but you only got your raichu because of a thunderstone, what I was on about evolving Pokémon with evolution stone can't mega evolve.
also I know right about trading when someone doesn't give it, I had a swirlix with a whipped dream and never got it back.

actually I figured it out by myself on serebii, because the mega Pokémon on the page had one thing in common, which is that none evolve through the use of a stone.

The design itself looks cool. I just don't understand why he was given Lightning Rod. That doesn't make sense!

it will attract all electric moves used in a battle to him. Electric is weak to both grass and dragon, so electric moves will only deal him 0.25 the normal damage. It's a way to protect his allies, I'm guessing? This is the only thing I've been able to think of since the release.

It just seemed pretty unusual in comparison to Blazikens Speed Boost and Swamperts Swift Swim. Woulda made more sense having Swampert with it due to it's ground attribute lol.
Can't wait for the release though, is gonna be fun! I hope

*flaps* nevermind, I forgot lightning rod also gives it actual immunity to electric types. Which means it goes from 0.25 damage to 0? yeah, that's kinda useless. Still just for protecting allies, then, i assume

Mega Sceptile is cool looking and it's a Grass/Dragon type combo very cool but as for Lightning Rod I don't think that makes a good ability at all should have been Chlorophyll for it's speed stats now that would have been more useful but that's just me good art anyway.

I don't think Sceptile needs more Speed, given that vanilla sceptile has base 120 and that's like to increase to between 150 and 180 upon Megavolving. I agree that Lightningrod is a weird choice though. Mold Breaker might have been cool, or some other sun-related ability that isn't Chlorophyll, like Harvest or Solar Power.

Well lets both agree that Lightning rod isn't a good choice but still Chlorophyll would make a good combo with sunny day and solarbeam in both speed and attack and you know both Mega Blaziken and Mega Swampert have Speed Boost and Swift Swim two ability that boost speed I just saying Mega Sceptile should have an ability to boost it's speed but fans can't be choosers right.

Yeah, I guess it makes sense in that regard, but my point is still that they needed that. Both Blaziken and Swampert are quite slow, with Mega Blaziken being only decent and Mega Swampert likely being even slower than normal. Sceptile, on the other hand, outspeeds all three that we know of (and almost certainly mega swampert also) in its normal form. Seeing as the abilities of Mega forms tend to be quite useful, I can't see that doubling the speed of a Pokemon that will most likely be on a Ninjask level is a massive necessity, when you could do something about its possibly underwhelming damage output with Solar Power or the like.

I think the only things i find odd about its design is the X leaf pattern on its chest, and also the 4 "leaf bites" they gave it.
Really enjoy its design though gonna be fun to use.
