Description NW shore, Lake Tahoe. The drought has had some serious effects on the lake. Notice the bottom stair is over 4 feet above the water instead at water level, and since Lake Tahoe is the 2nd largest Alpine lake in the world (Lake Titicaca in Peru is #1) that's a whole lot of water lost.... Lake Tahoe has only one outlet, the Truckee River.Β
