They are so cute! Now I want an internet troll plushie!
Perhaps you should consider expanding on trolls in terms of different species. Particularly, the "concern troll" because they have become so ubiquitous or obnoxious in recent years. However, it might not be an actual species of "true" internet troll, but an organism that is an example of mimicry.

They do, and it's on purpose- a young troll often fails at it's first attempts at hunting, and if it doesn't learn from it's elders will develop into a fail-troll.

(Related, not "Realted".)
This is an endearing look at trolls.

Genius once again. I've only observed surface-level troll interactions, but this seems to be pretty accurate!

I base all of my research on lurking at the BHB.
And my boyfriend's current roommate is an IRL 4chan troll.
They're a bit like that skitzy dog your neighbors or some relative had when you were a kid- it needed to be approached correctly to make friends, otherwise it would snap at you.

I had a guess that's where you got it from. ;D
Really? That's got to be...interesting.
Precisely!

Seeing as it's featured in the group and all.
Much more agreeable than one might at first imagine. He wanders in, says a non-sequitor as a greeting, steals some food, gives us presents or random things he found on the internet and wanders away again.
So really, he's like a very large, non-pettable cat.

They really are. Trolls are real harmless. Well, unless they use hacking tools and unnecessary force.

I put trolls and hackers in different categories.
Trolls play pranks (sometimes they're a more than a little mean-spirited, but no lasting damage), while hackers steal information and money.
