Description
This is fanart inspired from the movie "Tron", based on the old 80's movie promo poster. I am still messing with it but this is what i have so far.This movie blew my freakin mind when I first saw it even though I was just a kid when it came out. It was one of the major Sci-fi influences for me, along side "BladeRunner" and "StarWars" amongst others.

The feeling of speed and motion is brilliantly done in this. I could totally see this being a still from the movie. Very nice. I think you nailed the perspective very well.

Amazing, the perspective and the sense of speed is awesome.
Though the models are a touch innacurate - the grills on the back don't slope like that and I don't think snowspeeders glow. The actual battle of Hoth takes place under blue skies, not stars.

The sky is meant to be a darker blue, but not necessarily night, as depicted with the lighting. And it was intended to be snow, not stars.
As far as the after-burner glow goes, I needed something the make the colors pop as there was a lot of whites and grays. So I added the glow for contrast purposes.

Thanks Mel, glad you dig it. It was one of those pieces I kept tweaking to try to get certain effects, in this case a sense of motion and speed.

Lol sorry about that, I had cleared out my devwatch list awhile ago because it was getting way out of control. So I wiped the slate clean to get a handle on my message box, I was getting 100's of messages a day.

i was gonna say the snow and blur on the vehicles look like an addition that you made. i don't know why you didn't add them to the images before--the blur that is. i went to the link but they got nothing but poser models. what gives? don't they work on other programs like daz3D, bryce, vue, 3DsMax or any other one?

Yeah I was in a rush, and there was actually a lot more that I wanted to do to the piece but I'll save that for another day.
And no, Vanishing point deals mostly with Poser/Daz models so you'll have to either import or convert them. Then just tweak the mods and give it some texture. Either that or make them from scratch.
