Description !!!!!PLEASE DOWNLOAD THIS IMAGE TO SEE MOST OF ITS DETAIL!!!!!

update (11/06/12): one of my fellow deviants alerted me to a flaw to the top left of my image. the nebula had a sharp cut off in it. so i opened the psd file and manually brushed in some more nebula to remove the cut off. i also brightened the nebula and added a colour layer over the entire image to help everything blend nicely. so sorry about that.

LISTENING TO THIS TRANCE www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6yQs4… + VIEWING THIS SPACE SCAPE = EPICNESS!!! (i did not make the trance, but kudos to its creator!)

i call this work, Corundum! well, it should really be called blue-corundum, which is actually sapphire, but the tones aren't deep enough.
enough off that and more about the scene! :

its definately one of my more fantasy works!
larger moons that are placed more randomly! not common in my works!
large star illuminating the nebula! oh, and i tried a new star brush too, to make my stars look more like the ones commonly seen in space art! looks better too!
a little meteor shower on the nearby moon.
moon and planet with city lights.

so yeah, i really tried to make it look more unique and sci-fi amongst my other works, which are more science oriented. the scene is a little monotone though. it could probably also use a little more contrast. maybe even a little more features could also be included. but other than that, its definately a greater improvement from most of my previous works, mainly that its more sci-fi! and also that it looks better! i also love the angle, really suits it, don't you think?

Oh you're quite welcome.  If you haven't, you ought to consider commissioning ideas - the art is worth paying for.

I absolutely love the detail of everything, you did quite an excellent job! What are those little circle patterns on the planet and moon? They are interesting, I'd like to know how you did that, so cool!

Very nice. I love the large planet with the rings and lights

There is an errant line at the top left corner of the whole image though. It looks like you had a fractal that you rotated a bit and the sharp edge is still showing. I don't know if this is what it's supposed to look like or not. It might only be apparent on HD screens though
