Quotes #34 | βIf someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?βAfter a couple "off" weeks I'm back with a new Quotes. I got an order from a friend for more then a hundred new stickers with funny quotes on it. I changed the background, font and size from previous design. Since I got many complains how "this sh*t doesn't belong here on DA" I probably won't upload all of them, but I will post a link where you can see them...

About the quotes:
1.) I don't own any of the quotes in my collection (unless it's stated otherwise);

I can try answer this since I have DID, the thing is, it all depends on which personality is in control at the time and if they know existence of the other personalities, an example would be Vic, she's rude as damn and said that for her it would count as a hostage situation, since she knows all the personalities, whereas Kuna, he doesn't know that the others are other personas, he thinks that they're other humans and would only call it suicide. Then there's Ridan who would say that it all depends on how they say it;
'Don't come closer or else!'
Would be be a hostage situation. If the person was saying something like;
'I'm going to kill myself.'Β
Then it would be intended suicide, don't trust everything I stated because this is only what myself and a few of my personas are guessing.

If you live in New Mexico, then yes. About 15 years ago they closed Highway NM-285 ( which gets enough traffic to warrant an Interstate ) because a man was on the side of the road, in his car, holding a gun to his head. They kept the road closed for six hours while they negotiated with him.

That's actually a very legitimate question, because people with Dissocative Identity Disorder can have more then one "alter" as they're called so you never know how many Personalities you're dealing with, It could be 10, or it could be no more then 3.

I've heard that in some cases, physical traits like allergies and scarring may present only while certain personalities are dominant.
I'd like to find more research on that; the implications are impressive to say the least.
