Description
This was my costume for this years Elf Fantasy Fair.The Elf Fantasy Fair is an open air 'convention' for everything related to fantasy. Each year a lot of people go in costume, there are really a lot of awe inspiring costumes to be seen.
Me and a friend started to go in costume since last year.
And last year I already decided to go as a Dark Brotherhood Assassin from the game The Elder Scrolls Oblivion.
I scavenged a lot of the belts from family members who still had some old ones lying around and got the fabric and leather from the market for a very reasonable low price.
Did all the leather work myself but my mother was so kind to help me with sewing the fabrics, since I still kind of suck at that.
Don't know if people recognized the costume, I only heard it from two guys. My friend told me someone else thought I was from Assassin's creed (while there were actually 2 Altairs walking around) and I got called a rogue countless of times. But fun was had and I saw a little Corgi with a cape wich I couldn't stop daww'ing over
Now I have to think of a new costume for next year, I was joking with my brother that I'm going to make a full High Ordinator costume (from the Elder Scrolls Morrowind)
But now I'm really considering it, only problem I have is what I should make the armor pieces from.
So if anyone knows some good material I could use for the armor pieces, let me know.

That is amazing! You did an excellent job with the costume. I think a High ordinator would be awesome, but I can't think of what you would use to make the armor either. Good job though!

Sorry no tutorial, tips would be look through some old stuff your friends or family might have lying around in the attic. That saved me a lot of money on belts and fabric. Also if you're looking for real leather try to find big pieces that sell for cheap because they have slight damages.

So I was searching deviantart for morrowind based artisan crafts and this is one of the few that turned up that (even though it's actually oblivion) is pretty damn awesome. I am getting tired of only seeing skyrim costumes cause people either don't like oblivion's designs or have never heard of morrowind. That's part of the reason why I decided to make my own stuff. I think you'd enjoy taking a look at some of the stuff in my gallery. I used to do 3d video game art too so about half of my gallery is composed of it.
Anyway, enough about my stuff, whatever happened to that ordinator costume you were talking about? I'd love to see someone make a good looking rendition of a morrowind armor.

That is easily one of the best damn cosplays I've ever seen. And it's not often I see a DB cosplay, either. I love the design of that armour in Oblivion; the only design I like better is the one for the DB mages in Skyrim, but this one easily beats the rogue design in the same game. It looks so finicky, it must've taken you forever with all those little details, you must have a lot of patience. Brilliant work.

I love the attention to detail in this costume!
All the little things make it even better, like the subtle "black hand" on the shoulder pad.

I'm making the shrouded armor as well for anime north this year, I'm planning on using chicken wire and paper mache, someone recommended it to me for the actual armor part =/
