Description This is Kevin the Octopus & Karen the Walrus. It's Springtime and Love is in the air, So Kevin has found a nice sea rose for Karen to show his feelings for her These two were 100% hand needle felted out of Romney & Merino wool. They have hand acrylic painted polymer eyes and Karen has horse hair whiskers. They were made for a fun contest for the Animals of Color group here on DA [link]

I'm so excited that these two won the Animals of Color Contest! I had some tough competition and I'm honored to have won. And so excited about the great prizes. Thanks!

Wonderful sculptures! That purple is gorgeous, and I can only imagine how much time it took you to make the suckers. And the walrus has so much charm!

The whiskers are horse hair, I threaded and glues each one into place it was tedious but I felt it helped to complete her. Thanks so much!

You just keep getting better and better with this needle-felting stuff!
I can't believe the amount of detail you can get with this medium.

Overall, wonderful work and I love the set up here
The Walrus' whiskers are wonderful (and oh-so-cute!)

And I love the little circle details on the octopus' head.

I just love these.
