There is so much good with this piece that it needs to be said up front: whatever I critique is nit-picking at details.
The eye grabs me. Its texture is perfect, as is the highlight. It really makes the focal point. Likewise the texture of the fur is excellent, as are the gradation of colors. And the reflections? Excellent. This picture creates a depth of field similar to a well-taken photograph. That is an extremely hard effect to capture with dry media, and should not be overlooked. Values are great, as is the balance between light and dark.
The only thing I would critique, (and again, I am nit picking), is watch the "halo" effect around the squirrel's head. this happens with dry media because the strokes get shorter as we lay in color around an object. Perhaps the only reason I even notice it is because it is something I struggle with in my own colored pencil artwork. It is so subtle it may even be an intentional gradation in the out of focus background.
