Description Vultures are classified into two groups: Old World Vultures and New World Vultures. The similarities between the two different groups are due to convergent evolution.

A particular characteristic of many vultures is a bald head, devoid of normal feathers. This helps to keep the head clean when feeding. Research has shown that the bare skin may play an important role in thermoregulation.

Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

Well, first I will say that it does not look like one of your better pieces. However, putting that opinion aside, I will say it is still very good (better than I've ever done!).

Vision: answering the question of whether it reflects a point of view/theme/idea, I can't say that it does really. It is a skillful drawing of a vulture but there is no action or anything happening so it is a but static in that regard, unlike your wolf drawing with his nose to the ground, seemingly sniffing something out.

Originality: I gave a high rating because it seems to be a new and different style...

Technique: ... however feather and fluff textures could be worked on. A stronger and wider range of value would create a more finished and realistic look. Very good use, however, of the white pencil crayon for showing the light parts. Also, the beak and eye are exceptional in their smooth blending, and realistic 3D look. Top notch!

Impact: The thing that struck me the most was the stern expression and avid stare of the vulture. That seems to be the focal point and I like how he is looking off to the distant side as if there is something glaring back at him.

Overall, it is a very good piece. I love seeing your artwork. Please continue to make more!

Thank you very much!
In fact it's a quick sketch, I tried to test basically lights and shadows increasing the range with a white pastel and focusing on the eyes adding more detail and blurring a bit the rest as it's moving away from the main point with less detail.
I really appreciate your helpful point of view!
