My entry for the Valentines Day Clamp Pairing Contest here!

I know I probably should've done something fluffy and sweet in the spirit of V-Day but I couldn't - they're not a very fluffy couple.
In this picture I wanted to capture that apex of their relationship in Nihon - after everything they've been through together and everything that was sacrificed (hence the painstaking effort for the full-frontal view of Kuro's arm) the airs finally clear and all I can say is: It's about time!

Note: I was going to somehow portray Fai's eye patch to show his missing eye - but then I realized that wasn't for Kurogane, Kuro's not the only person he loves and this picture is just about - them -. Throughout the relationship Fai has made very little sacrifices and has been the recipient of so many on Kuro's part, so the golden eye and the metallic arm are the representation of that.
Fai resting his hand on Kurogane's arm shows his acceptance and acknowledgement of needing his support, and his open kimono is showing he's ready to give back for the sacrifice by finally opening himself up and allowing himself to be vulnerable to another person (Or you can all just be a bunch of perves and take it literally ).
On the other hand (no pun intended) the arm represents something for Kurogane as well. Coupled with his content expression, it shows how far HE has come, caring about another person more than himself as more than a duty or obligation, but as something precious, something that would cause him to give of himself without hesitation to protect. And he's happy about it.
Just thought some explanation for what I was trying to go for would be helpful XD If anyone wants to comment, criticize, or just rage at me and my rant feel free!
