Many have asked me dozens of times: "Why do you put animal ears on Dei?"
My aunt and uncle are regrettably very horrible people, and Dei himself also had a rough childhood [that's why he lives with us now], he understands better than anyone what Jake went through. "Jake's parents gave him an ultimatum:
"Be our straight son, or a gay stranger."
Jake, being the only one that knows I put these comics on DA, had seen questions and when I asked him permission so submit such a personal experience for everyone to see and understand him better, he laughed and said;
"Of course, there's nothing for me to be embarrassed about, just a day in the life of us, The Serks [Sexy Jerks]"

I hate it when people say things like "being gay is unnatural" or "it's just a phase, so get through it now or stay away" IT IS A NATURAL OCCURRENCE IN THE ANIMAL KINGDOM TO BE GAY/LESBIAN! The only idiots who don't accept that are humans. There is an entire species of lizard that is full of lesbians who reproduce in a manner similar to cloning. Β It's considered asexual but it requires 2 in the partnership. These things are natural and some idiot decided to say it wasn't and people believed it. My mom and dad have always told me of how I should treat people as people, even if I think that being gay is wrong, well it's the persons choice and by treating them as freaks*no offense* they only make gay people hate them, whatever the person decides is their personal business, but I think your friend has had it rough and when I read this and saw no reaction from Jake, I started respecting him even if I think being gay is wrong he is still a person. He is a great guy!

hmmm, I have seen your comics bein faved soo much from other artist, and although I feel unvomfortable of some of it which are well to perv, most of them were just soo fun and great ^.^. But now about this, I am quite an honest person so I won't lie if I say that I have my own personal reasons why I think being gay is well y'know not right in my eyes and soo on and stuff, HOWEVER despite believing that I feel disgusted if people express their opinions in such a horrible way like those did.. Talking behind someones back is as worse as feeding your brother flesh for me as I got taught so I hope that he'll have it n a more peaceful way and less of this. I actually got one of my really good friends from a situation like this.
I overheard a group of people making very very vulgar comments about him, and I got so angry. I didnt know who he was at the time, nor did I know he was standing a little off to the side taking all the verbal abuse. I got right in the middle of the group talking Crap and shoved em backwards before Roaring the lecture of all lectures at them and punching a few persistant ones. (Shocked the crap out of em. I'm really short despite my age (4'11) and a quiet person when not with my friends) Still I walked away with the fewest injuries in this case.
The guy I defended walked up to me crying and told me "That was one of the bravest things I've ever seen no one has ever stood up for me before Thank you" We bonded right there. He's still a good friend all these years later. -grin- He calls me Ichigo sometimes (meaning 'To protect one' not 'strawberry')
I hate people like that. I'd have been right next to Dei in this case.

I read this comic, and I think of my best friend and I. He recently came out, and it may have taken me a little while to accept it, but I still know my old friend and pal. He's still the kind, sweet, goof ball he's always been. I wouldn't change him for the world, and would gladly defend him from those in it that are narrow minded.
