Why is there not more Matthew Swift fan art? Haven't you guys read A Madness of Angels by Kate Griffin yet? The amount of amazing it is is pretty ridiculous, along with how she's been putting out an entire new awesome novel with him once a year for the past four years.I drew this a while ago using my has-a-real-brush-on-the-end brush pen and coloured it with prismacolours. Look! Entirely traditional art!

Wow, this is really amazing! I really like how you made him look all scruffy and worn down. I just finished reading A Madness of Angels, and I loved it! Have you read her Magicals Anonymous books too? I read those first, actually, but I love both the characters.

Fantastic! People always seem to make him too handsome, when it says quite clearly, in several places in the first book, that he is just an average looking guy. The kind of person you look right past (even without the magic coat).

Exactly! He also gets described as looking like "a drowned pigeon" and stuff like that, and I just can't get this kind of knobby British face with too skinny a neck out of my head x) The book covers always seem to haave a generic, kind of American-looking handsome dude on them, and it just isn't right at all.
