Description
It is fact that spotted hyenas hunt more than they scavenge (they kill 85% of their prey themselves).The lion steals more kills from other predatory animals than the hyenas or the other predators do. (Well, every species wants to survive, it's the circle of life.)
And last but not least, spotted hyenas are smaller and weaker than lions but they hunt the same prey (wildebeest, zebras, buffalos...).
So tell me: Who is a slobbering, mangy, stupid poacher?
PS: I have my own hyena stile, but for this pic I use the tlk hyena stile, because this description (slobbering, mangy, stupid poacher) is mentioned in the tlk movie.

Btw,I see you know alot about hyenas. Do you know witch family it comes from? I would like to get more about hyenas. I started to see their beauty for some weeks ago and I havent "learned" so much about them yet

Very true. lions steal much more then they kill. plus, hyenas can eat pretty much the whole animal. bones and all, if i remeber correctly. makin' them even better. yeaah idk. |D

Well, I don't think that hyenas are better than lions. In my opinion, no animal is better than another species. Lions are intelligent hunters, but they scavenge, too (every carnivore is an opportunist).
But I don't like always those "hyena is ugly, stupid scavenger" and "lion is the holy proud and the best" clichΓ©. And all those "lions chases and kill hyena" drawings here on DA or those clips on youtube make me very sad. That's why I drew this picture above.

i hate how everybody thinx theyre scavengers. its like saying trex is a scavenger. theyre my favorite wild dogs. i mean really why would a hyena need one of the strongest bit forces in the world just to scavenge? i love the hyenas pout

this is brilliant, but disney has a bad habit of putting the wrong descriptions with such delightful animals such as wolves and hyenas. it's good that people are wising up nowadays and seeing the bad that disney has caused certain animals. i looked up that one of the animators didn't want the hyenas to be like that, but they didn't listen to him.

Yeah, a forth movie with the hyenas as main characters would be great (I would buy it, too)!
