Now guess who these guys are.
Tried to draw them in a realistic style. Yes, I made Shenzi's muzzle darker like the muzzles of real spotted hyenas. And I changed the colors a bit (especially the colors of the hyenas) to make them more realistic.
Done with copic markers and colored pencils

This is beautiful! I really love how you did the sun! How do you like the polychromos? I use prismacolor pencils but they're starting to be a pain due to breaking and keeping a dull tip.

Love it! I like the expressions of the hyenas! I like how you drew them realistically and not exactly the same way as the cartoon. I know they are from the Lion King but I like how you took your own perspective and style as an artist! Great job!

Danke sehr! Ja, das hat unheimlich Spaß gemacht, diese Charaktere mal in "real" zu zeichnen, vor allem weil die Hyänen in dem Film zwar niedlich aussehen, aber gleichzeitig irgendwie so ... unhyänisch.

hab ich mir doch gleich gedacht, dass das Scar sein soll, den Blick hast du wirklich super umsetzen können. Es ist interessant ihn mal in einer realistischen Variante zu sehen. Zwar wirkt er hier etwas jugendlicher, frischer, was wahrscheinlich durch die korrekte Löwenantomie des Schädels kommt, aber das tut der Qualität keinen Abbruch.
Und auch Banzai, Shenzi und Ed sind sofort wieder zu erkennen. Auch bei ihnen hast du die individuellen Mimiken perfekt übertragen. Bei Banzai gefällt mir das fiese Grinsen mit dem Speichel und dem krumm erscheinenden Nasenrücken extrem gut. Shenzi wirkt, wie auch im Film, leicht genervt aber auch irgendwie gelangweilt. Der Blick ist einfach klasse und die Schattierung ihres Hals-Brust-Bereich finde ich gerade wieder äußerst faszinierend. Und Ed ist süß^^ Die zerfetzten Ohren gefallen mir total gut und auch, dass die Risskanten eine andere Färbung aufweisen, macht sie noch echter. Ein bisschen Speichel wäre bei ihm vielleicht auch noch schön gewesen. Aber eigentlich passt das so.

Ich find's großartigst, wie die drei 'Yänen sich in kleinsten Details voneinander unterscheiden – Banzai mit den Ussel-Haaren (und dem ... sehr geschwungenen Nasenrücken? Ist das überhaupt richtig?), Ed mit den realistisch zerfetzten Öhrchen ... jaja, und Shenzis Mähe
