I am forcing myself to do backgrounds-something that has been lacking for to long. Unfortunately after all the work on the environment I got lazy with the characters and they are messed up. Poor Thranny he has no fingers-yeah that's how lazy I can get And shading cloth is another thing I need to improve badly.

Thranduil and his future queen. She got into a bit of trouble given the cuts and bruises(that look weird I know), but luckily Thranduil was there, and he just realized she's beautiful.
Like any fan of the Mirkwood family I have always wondered about Thranduil's younger days, especially after the destruction of Doriath, and of course who is Legolas's mommy and how he met her. I have two different stories in my head: in one he stays in Lindon after the War of wrath and sets foot in Mirkwood only after the death of Oropher and in the other he follows his daddy over the mountains and eventually leaves Greenwood for a while under heartbreaking circumstances. Well in both stories he falls for the same girl, who doesn't have an elvish name yet.
