Recognize those eyes? It's General Grievous as a Kaleesh, the race he belonged to before he was cyborgified and forced to work for the Separatists. Grievous once had a family, and was respected as a Kaleesh warlord. The design is based on Warren Fu's art from the Star Wars: Visionaries graphic novel. From idea to finished product, this piece took me about 8 hours. (4 hours on this drawing + 4 hours on a failed earlier attempt that "looked like Satan", according to my brother ) I did it in Prismacolor pencils, which unfortunately don't have many shades that make good Kaleesh skin tones. His smile is somewhat out of character, but it does have a reason... halfway through the piece I stepped back and said "Wow he's ugly!' O.o I think the smile makes him look better; that's why I added it. And also... behold the background! (though it's a lazeh marker one...)

As usual, if you have any critiques, please tell me! Even if I can't fix something now, your
criticism will give me ideas and help me improve.

Edit: Ok... I know I've already resubmitted this guy too many times, but I really wanted to scan him again so he would look the way I actually drew him. Thanks for being patient with my pickiness!
