Description
The Taj Mahal in Agra was built from white marble during the Mughal period in India between 1632 and 1648 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631.
Together with the garden, the Taj Mahal is considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and at the same time one of the "Seven Wonders of the Modern World".
