Thanks for the feedback! I did paint this some years ago while learning Painter, so I don't really remember anymore how much time did it take -- I guess some hours of messing around and exploring Painter's tools

i had a feeling it was inspired by a book or author. thats the first thing i thought of when i saw it. i looked at it for a while trying to figure out if it came from a story. lol. definitely feels like it came from or was inspired by a novel. i love that concept to. great job!

yeah its photo manipulation...i have this crazy idea of putting together conventional digital artworks like yours with photo manipulations...i did a fantasy artwork yesterday...it turned out pretty well for a first try...check out my gallery.
