I read that medieval Italy was actually filled by towers connected by bridges high up at one point, in 12-13th centuries. It was ruled by feuding clans and they'd use the bridges as additional means of traveling. This is kind of similar to how I imagined it...

This architecture is just breathtaking. Maybe Iβve just been suckered by the golden edifices glowing in the sunlight but the actual detail and design seems to shine as well. The maze of bridges is a fascinating concept and I appreciate the juxtaposition of modern(esque) architecture and the tents of the market(?) nestled in the foreground. Simply delightful.

Very interesting mixing impavid and grand structures with tent markets. Human nature will always try to build great things without letting go simple social reunions and traditions. Very nice.
