Character Creation

Cecilia Spark has no fictional story at this point. But I have a story about the creation of this heroine. About 5 years ago, I played Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. In the game, in Ashbury Town, there's a quest where you need to find the reason for raising the dead at a local cemetery. There is a man standing near this cemetery named Geoffrey Tarellond-Ashe who asks to deal with the problem.

When I met Geoffrey, he introduced himself to me as a necromancer. It turns out that there are not only evil necromancers. They can protect citizens from a similar incident like that one in the cemetery.

It inspired me a lot. I wanted to create a character that uses dark evil forces in the name of goodness and justice. A few years later, I started playing this game again, but with my own good necromancer. I also played for Cecilia Spark in Baldur's Gate and BG 2: Shadows of Amn. (Her alignment was neutral-good.)

Later, she became my superhero. You know, it's not every day you meet a hero who possesses the magic of death. Initially, Spark wore a fantasy magic robe, but later, she got a modern version of the costume, more suitable for the superhero theme.

Powers and abilities.

Cecilia Spark has a deep knowledge of magic of various types, but her main favorite type of arcane art has always been necromancy.

Necromancy, or the magic of death, is a dark type of arcane art that allows you to control and manipulate both the dead and death itself.

Cecilia is closely connected with the world of the dead, which gives her the opportunity to draw dark energy from there for her own needs.

Spiritualism

Cecilia is able to communicate with souls and ghosts in order to ask for and find out this or that information. She can even take them under her control, but Spark always said, "A soul is not a body. You need to show more respect for it. "

Animate Dead

Like a real necromancer, Spark is able to animate and control the dead. No matter if the object died recently or has long been rotted, necromancy will do its dirty work. In fact, a woman can manipulate dead cells to make them act as she wants. For example, she can force cells to fuse together, divide, or burst. Spark considers the most useful feature of necromancy to be resurrection. It is the total return of the deceased to life by bringing their souls back into their bodies. Those resurrected will be able to continue to live their normal lives. But these abilities have their own nuances.

The object must be recently deceased; it can be resurrected while the soul is still roaming the earth. After a few days, the soul is sent to another world. After that, the body can still be rised, but it will already be a soulless shell (a zombie).

If the target at death has lost a vital organ or died from a terrible disease, it will not be possible to resurrect it.

Resurrection needs a lot of energy. If Spark returns anybody to life, then she herself will greatly weaken, both physically and spiritually. In short, it is dangerous for her life.

Cecilia is able to draw life from all living beings to heal her wounds and diseases. Usually, cruel criminals and thugs become her victims. And, as Spark herself claims, she never dried anyone to death. There are enough deaths in the world.

Astral projection

Spark can leave her body for a few minutes in the form of an astral projection. In the etheric state, she is intangible, invisible, and inaudible. The woman is able to inhabit other bodies and even take control of them.

Once, the woman managed to frighten the grave robbers by taking possession of the corpse they had dug up. They say that the screams of those grave robbers were heard throughout several blocks of Brooklyn.

The Summoning

Summoning magic is not able to create an object, but to summon it from another place or dimension. Having a connection with the world of the dead, Cecilia is able to summon from there various types of undead: zombies, skeletons, ghosts, etc. Also, the necromancer is capable of calling all sorts of demons straight from hell. But as the woman herself said,  "the demons are too unpredictable, cunning, and dangerous, and if they appear in the physical world, it can lead to irreparable consequences. Anyway, it's best not to mess with them. "

Spark has extensive knowledge of magic, the occult, spiritualism, mysticism, and parapsychology.

Also, Cecilia has a high level of intelligence. She has her doctorate in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and medicine.

Protektos

The belt, or rather, a stone on the belt. It has a round disc-shaped design with carved-out runes and a small gem in the center. Its purpose is to insignificantly protect its wearer from physical and mystical damage.

Also, Cecilia Spark owns several secret laboratories with all the necessary equipment for experiments.
