Description
Surely, many of you have heard about the dragons, huge, powerful creatures that burned entire villages, plundered kingdoms and kidnapped princesses. Many different knights, warriors, or simply adventurers attempted to defeat a dragon, save the princess, and loot the treasure more than once. Not many have been able to, but those who freed a kingdom from evil creatures received special privileges, such as high status, the hand of a princess, or most often, knighthood. Thus, over time, in the service of kings and queens, the so-called dragon hunters appeared. And years later, hunters had learned to tame these creatures and even bred them to create new, more powerful species. Thus, in the kingdoms, the first dragonriders had appeared. Dragonriders are elite knights with incredible powers and abilities. They had ridden the dragons and swore an oath to protect the kingdoms from the forces of evil and darkness using powerful weapons, artifacts, and magic.

Fictional Story
In the late 12th century, the Circle of Dragonriders had been fighting with Galladro, a mighty undead dragon that had spread terror across an entire continent. The riders managed to kill the dark creature several times, but the dragon was resurrected each time and became even stronger. Therefore, the Circle had decided to capture and imprison him in a magical prison created by Merlin, the court wizard of King Arthur. The prison was indestructible and tightly sealed. Galladro was supposed to be kept for ages, but it needed a caretaker who would protect the gates of the prison and renew the seals once every 10 years; otherwise they would break, and the undead dragon would go free. The volunteer as caretaker and keeper of the seal had become a knight-rider, Henry O'Mordha, the leader of the Circle of Dragonriders. He had taken it upon himself to look after the prison, knowing that hundreds of years of his life could go into this. And Merlin had made for Henry a powerful artifact, the Amulet of the Eternals, which was able to significantly slow down the aging of the wearer, thereby protecting him from natural death.
After many years, the age of dragons had begun to fade, and the Circle of Riders had begun to break up. With each meeting of the Circle, the riders become fewer and fewer. Someone who retired, someone who died, and someone who lived out their last days. Thus, a few years later, Henry became the only and last representative of these knights. More than one century had passed since Galladro was imprisoned. During all this time, Henry, as a Dragonrider, practically did not show himself anywhere. After all, the Age of dragons had long passed, and if people saw a dragon flying in the sky, this could lead to irreparable consequences. However, sometimes the Dragonrider took risks and intervened in events; the first world war, the second one. If there were eyewitnesses, then no one believed them, and if they did, then there were few such cases, and over time they were forgotten.
In the 1980s, London experienced terrible events, the center of which was just one person. It was superhuman. Who he was and where he came from is unknown, but he was incredibly powerful. He could control a fire and burn entire houses with just a glance, which is why he was nicknamed the Black Phoenix. The police, secret services, and military could not cope with him. The famous superhero team, The Dawn Birds, were defeated. The Black Phoenix was invincible. In those days, many had died, and there would have been more deaths if a man on the dragon had not intervened. It was then that people learned about the existence of dragons. And although the secret services themselves could not believe their eyes, they tried their best to hide it by constantly claiming that the dragon was not real and that it was just a high-tech animatronic. But nevertheless, the Dragonrider is the only one who was able to defeat the Black Phoenix. It turned out that the superhuman could be harmed by magic weapons. The Sword of Day and Night had absorbed all of the Black Phoenix's flames, and with the help of supernatural frost, had turned the superhuman into a piece of ice. They say that when the frozen body of the superhuman fell to the ground and shattered, it immediately caught fire and turned into ash. Later, eyewitnesses claimed that a newborn child had been found in those ashes, but who and where he had been taken is not known to this day.
Years after that incident, the government created a small secret organization in case super powerful people like the Black Phoenix turned against the government and citizens. The organization itself was called the Final Frontier, and its first member was the same hero who had managed to defeat evil and save the kingdom.
Powers and abilities
As an ordinary person, Hank does not have any superpowers but relies on his skills and artifacts.
Skills
Thanks to many years of grueling training, Henry's body is in perfect physical condition. Hank has almost 880 years of experience in weaponry and hand-to-hand combat. He possesses an extremely high level of proficiency in any weapon that is available to the Dragonriders, ideally wielding the magic Sword of Day and Night. He is able to conduct extremely long battles while improvising without problems, adjusting and choosing battle tactics for any opponent. He is able to fight against large groups of enemies at the same time, or against creatures that are in many ways superior to his strength.
Hank also has a deep knowledge of magical artifacts, magic, biology, and the behavior of dragons and some other supernatural creatures. He has a number of foreign languages, including Latin.
He is an excellent tactician and strategist, has leadership qualities, and impeccable riding skills, in particular on dragons.
Equipment
Rider Armor
- This armor had been forged from a meteorite that had fallen to Earth thousands of years ago. Incredibly light but durable, it protects a wearer from both physical and elemental threats, including Azoram's acid breaths.
- The hooded cloak and cotte that Hank wears on his torso protect him from magic.
- The old belts and fanny packs had long been worn out and have been replaced with new ones that are more modern and strong.
Artifacts
Mask
The Mask of the Rider is a powerful artifact that gives its wearer incredible abilities.
Each mask was created according to the facial features of its wearer. This allowed the knight-riders to recognize each other even if their faces were hidden under the masks.
The artifact is able to block mental influences, protect against hypnosis, various gases, and allow a wearer to see in the dark.
Amulet of the Eternals
This powerful artifact was created by Merlin himself.
The amulet gives the wearer longevity and greatly slows down aging. Henry is 880 years old, but he looks only 53–57.
But if the artifact is removed from Hank, he will immediately begin to age. Without the amulet, the wearer can last approximately 24 hours, but in that short time, he will rapidly age until he either dies or wears the amulet again. Fortunately, the artifact is protected by more powerful magic, and it is not so easy to remove it.
Rider Ring
The ring grants the wearer the ability to use magic and cast spells.
Warrior Ring
The artifact increases physical abilities to the peak of human strength.
Weapon
The most important weapon of the riders is the sword of Day and Night.
The weapon is extremely strong, sharp and has magical abilities that are activated with the help of special spell-words:
"Breath of the Day" (which causes the sword to ignite with an unquenchable flame that fires everything in its path)
"Whisper of the Night" (at the mention of these words, the sword is covered with frost and is able to freeze even the most fierce demon of hell).
The Mercy
Hank also possesses an impressive collection of various other magical artifacts and weapons.
One of the most famous artifacts in his collection is The Mercy. The dagger is filled with divine power and is able to harm evil dark creatures, and at the same time, it can heal wounds and calm those who lean towards the light.
The Dragon
The most impressive thing all riders have is their dragons.
Once, the riders had learned to tame them and even breed them.
With the help of magic and alchemy, they had created their own kind of dragon, mixing European ones with wyverns. The resulting hybrids were much stronger, faster, and more durable.
Azoram
Like all the dragons of the riders, Hank's dragon, Azoram, is a hybrid. Like wyverns, he has only one pair of legs, and he is small in size; he is only 15 meters long from the nose to the tip of the tail, and the wingspan is 30 meters. This makes him very fast and agile.
Also from a wyvern, Azoram got a poisonous bite like a snake, the ability to breath out clouds of incredibly caustic acid, and resistance to diseases, poisons, and acids.
Like the European dragon, Azoram has longevity, incredible strength, and a thick skin that protects him from certain types of energy, physical, and magical influences. He also has incredible fire resistance, accelerated regeneration, and the ability to see in the dark.
Intelligence
Despite the fact that Azoram can't speak, he is very smart, cunning, and has his own personality.
Change of size
A magical crystal placed on Azoram's chest allows the dragon to shrink if Hank orders him to do so.
The riders specially bred dragons with these crystals. This allowed them to shrink their pets, making them very compact and less visible.
When a dragon is shrunk, his physical characteristics, weight, and harness are reduced as well, and the creature himself becomes the size of an average domestic cat.
