Description This is a sculpture I made of a cheerleader being hurled into the air by a circle of hands. It's known as a "basket" toss. I sculpted it from half and half clay and used acrylic paint with synthetic hair. It just needs the hands to be glued into place, some glaze, and shellac on the plaque.

I will be placing this cheerleader in my front window. First, I have to create a glass case which allows people on the outside to see and appreciate her.

I want this oneI cheered in High School & I her hair, pose & facial expression....very good.
I made a clay cartoon rabbit in Graphic~Arts class in high school. This reminds me that I have been meaning to dig him out of storage so that I can post a photograph of him for everyone to see

on Cheerleader. When I saw a video of how cheerleaders are tossed into the sky using the basket-toss technique, it raised my respect for the sport. Fortunately for me, many friends volunteered for the pose. (If you really want it, just make a bid) [link]

Thank you. I've been told my sculptures look like they have a "dark edge" and are good Halloween material.

It was a lot of fun sculpting her, especially when my friends volunteered to pose for it. When I saw a video of how cheerleaders are tossed into the sky using the basket-toss technique, it raised my respect for the sport.

You're the second person to tell me my sculptures are perfect for Halloween.
The other person was the owner of a sculpture gallery. I should take that into consideration when I try to market them.
Thanks!

Very innovative.

I'm glad you like it. Currently, I'm making a series of trophies on commission for a pole-dancing association. This is fun because I get to have my female friends pose for me while I make the statuettes.

Just how do you manage to do that ... make comissions for *gasp* a pole-dancing association *ungasp*.

I have a hard enough time making conversation with an attractive woman whilst standing in the checkout line at the local grocery store.

Heh heh heh. *sob*

Indeed you have a small "harem" of women in which to utilize as models.

Although, she is a cheerleader, I had a ballerina in mind when I created her

I definitely understand that. I like ballerinas better than cheerleaders

Great pose, very dynamic. Also, the hands under her are an interesting way of showing that she's being hurled. Good job

The doll series I've been creating has been gaining loads of momentum. It's fueled by my life-long obsession with admiring women and enjoying their beauty. For the next few days, I will be making the hands that will be tossing her into the sky. (On a side note, yesterday, while I was having difficulty checking out at the store, and wearing my signature short-shorts, the manager approached me from behind. He said, "Let me help you mam." I turned to looked at him and he apologized, saying, "I'm sorry. It's just that you have women's legs!" I laughed.) Thanks Shirley.

I appreciate the encouragement. I'll be making periodic updates to this. This whole weekend was devoted to microsurgery on her hands and making the hands that will be tossing her up.
