Coming from a area on the far side of the Laimain Empire this race is still a mystery to the Laimains who have known of their existence for over 250 years. Very little that is known about this species and even that is mostly theory, conjecture or rumor. The Laimain refer to them as “beings of non-flesh” to further confuse things. EarthIntel have tentatively labeled this race the “Kani” from the Laimain word “Kan-Ini-ita” which loosely translates as “near-strangers” The sparse reports EarthIntel has received from our allies indicates a technologically advanced race that seems to have a strong caste system governing their society. This craft seems to represent the standard 1 being fighter craft. Larger than most other races this monster is heavily armed, very fast and is protected by a force shield. The first known to be fitted to a single seat fighter and probably contributes to its size, this fighter has been given the reporting name of “Hunchback”. The Kani conduct frequent and very realistic war games in their sectors of space but don’t seem to be belligerent towards the Lamians, indeed on one occasion when a disabled Kani frigate drifted into Laimian space the Kani made no contact or demand s for it’s return. The Laimians returned it anyway and received no thanks or response at all. It’s been awhile since I did something new so here it is. I been experimenting with making more organic shapes and this is a first try
