Anethea — Bofur - Colored Pencil

Description This is my try at a colored pencil drawing of Bofur, from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey", done in my 9" x 6" sketchbook with Prismacolor pencils. I haven't used colored pencils for a long time, and I don't think I got the proportions correct. Also, I had a hard time telling what his eye color should be from the reference photo I had on my phone, so I just went with it looked like on my phone screen (probably wrong).

I almost forgot...I used a little bit of white gel pen to touch up the white parts of the eyes (I wasn't very careful about keeping the sparkles perfectly white during the drawing process).

I think this turned out beautifully. James Nesbitt's eye color seems to change from green to brown lol I think it depends on what he's wearing. So I think you make his eye color just right. the textures are so beautiful and they really make him vivid! love the texture of his hat especially!

Lovely drawing! I love what you did with the texture on the fure on his hat, and the overall awesome likeness. With regards to his eyes I think they are sort of greenish brown. Sometimes.

Thanks for the eye color info! I'll remember that the next time I make a color Bofur drawing. My eyes appear to be different colors in different lighting, so I understand the "Sometimes" part of your comment!
