Princess Amaterasu, during the Silver Millennium, was also known as Princess Beauty, a nickname that even the Shitennou used for her. Thus, who better to cast her as then Snow White, the 'fairest of them all'. Both Snow White and Amaterasu were princesses who were beautiful and kind hearted. Both princesses also were rather innocent and naive as well.

Rekka is practically the embodiment of passion. Everything she does she puts her heart and soul into. The story of the Fire Bird seemed ideal, considering her guardian deity. On top of that, Rekka is hard to stop once she sets her mind on something, making her a force to be reckoned with.

Ayumi loves the ocean and the sealife the same way the little mermaid is described to love the human world. Ayumi is both wise and intelligent, but is constantly curious to learn all sorts of new things. She also shares the same undying love and devotion to her friends that the mermaid has for her prince.
