chibigoose is cosplaying as female Thrall to my female Khadgar this year at Dragon*Con--with the condition that I make most of her costume for her since she's all busy with her last class before getting her degree. Which I call a pretty fair deal, since she'll be the one having to wear green body paint all day. All I have to do is slap some white hair gel in my hair. Anywho, this is her Doomhammer, finally finished.

The base for the hammer is actually a plastic Thor's mjollnir I bought off Amazon. From there I styrofoamed and foamcored and hot glued and paper clayed my way to this beauty--topped off with an acrylic paint job, some matte finish to keep things from chipping, woven leather from a thrift store purse, and just a few inches of white fur fabric I happened to have laying around. End product weighs about 2 lbs, so it's got just enough heft for good pictures, but not so heavy it'll be a hassle to carry around all day at the con.

I seriously think chibigoose can call on the elements when she wields this bad boy. Oh, and when the con is over, this is totally going on a display shelf somewhere.

Thrall and his Doomhammer belong to Blizzard, of course.

Sadly, I don't have intentions to make Atiesh for myself. I just don't think I'll have time to make it.
