Description

I would like a ww1 picture of a group of seebattalion (Marine) waiting to be moved.

They wear a shako cover and wearing the back pack. (Oh crap I forgot about the shako covers.)

The seebatallion are german marines.
I would like four men with a french village as the bg.

Field grey uniform please.

Really great work with the background, I like all the grunge details you put in.

the faces are really expressive! i fell like they are really waiting, a bit bored about it, maybe because they look old.
One thing i noticed is the first soldier on the left, looks a bit unnatural the position of the legs. Anyway the background is very well made even if is fast draw!

PS: what rifle is that? looks like a mix from a Prussian carbine, a Carcano 98 and a Mosin

Oh it simply is a quickly drawn Mauser. I had no references.

sure you have a real talent! for the weapons you used to draw them by themselves back in the days, like an exercise? (sorry for my bad english)

I just try to remember how I drew the guns in other drawings, because I usually use references to avoid inaccuracies.

I need more details. References, number of soldiers, location, year, what kind of soldiers? Seesoldaten, infantry, artillery? Are they wearing HBT training uniforms?

Okay, so that's a lot of characters. 50 USD, as usual, you know how I work, you send money first ( ppsh-41mg@hotmail.com ) and then I start drawing.

I say, these are most amazing pictures you sent me. I will try not to simply copy them.

Confirmed. Will start drawing as soon as I cleared some homework, expect your drawing by the end of the month, or mid-may, depending of how much school work I have to do...

Thank you very much, once again.

Wunderschon mein herr! Oddly enough, the BG resembles Hamel on the Somme, this was a generally british held Hamlet, but naturally changed hands a few times... The likness sir is uncanny.

The effort you make with the Backgrounds is commendable, I haven't the patience for them myself but they bring an added level of integrity to your work.

Bravo sir, i can compliment you no moar.

Actually, the BG is inspired by a war-time photo of Wancourt, it's right next to Hamel. You have an eye for architecture, that's for sure!

I really like seeing all the different faces you give the people in your drawings. Always so unique and expressive. SO much better aesthetically than the countless blank anime faces that fill up this website.

Gold stars for being different and awesome.

Mais, mais, c'est pas une raison, la guerre c'est fait pour terrifier les gens d'abord. Sinon le ciel vierge donne un effet de lumière aveuglante et insolite dans ce décor de ville fantôme presque surréaliste. Moi j'aime !
