Every once in a while I get a little crazy and decide to do something with coloured pencils. Then when I finish I remember why I don't use coloured pencils- because I'm TERRIBLE at them. But, I put a lot of hours into this, so I thought it would be a waste not to share the parts that did come out all right. I like her whole gesture, the face and arms and feet.This has been doctored a bit in Photoshop. I brightened the colours because I realized too late that I should have done the whole thing on black paper.

Very lovely form and I love the flame effects. Loving the blending of the whole red-yellow scheme of colours, a lot of them are so similar but you've done so well to give them their own unique shapes and places of their own that the whole image just stands out. The black of course definitely helps, but somehow I think the sketchiness of the background really adds to the overall image. It really is lovely
