Proverbs 9:1-18
Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn her seven pillars. She has slaughtered her animals, she has mixed her wine, she has also set her table. She has sent out her servant-girls, she calls from the highest places in the town, ‘You that are simple, turn in here!’ To those without sense she says, ‘Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Lay aside immaturity, and live, and walk in the way of insight.’

     This verse has a lot of imagery about wisdom and I thought it would be fun to draw how I pictured it. Wisdom calling out to the people, knowing that she can help them. If they would just listen to her, they could see the beauty that she beholds.
     The last verse in the section really stands out in the paragraph. "Lay aside immaturity, and live". To have wisdom is to grow, having experience and knowledge of the world around us and the things we will face. But even more than that, it is about the revelations given by God. When we walk with Him many things are revealed and we start to live the way we were meant to.
     We truly live when we put aside the fleshly desires that are fleeting and lead to death and follow His plan instead. Repent, and be freed from sin. Because knowing that there is hope after death, one that Jesus gives freely makes this life that much more meaningful.
     Ask the Lord to know Him better and believe that He will give you wisdom. Lay aside the immaturity that comes from the flesh and its deadly desires, and truly live.
