I have a problem with manes in general, so I don't think I have any tips xD I make it in few steps and finish with pencils, if that helps in anyway, haha...

Just do whatever make you comfortable and hell mixing up the gallery shows your not a one trick pony (pun intended). Also this is just gorgeous. love it to death.
