Seventh Fleet Star Destroyer.Another illustration I painted up for the Chimaera Expansion Pack. I loved working on this illustration! It was just so much fun to paint.

I imagine that dedicated Imperial fleets would also consist of support ships: Victories, Vindicators, and Nebulon-Bs, just as in real life. Rebels actually did a pretty good job with this, with the use of Gozantis, Arquitens, and the single Immobilizer.

Pretty sure you're right. Didn't see them in the original trilogy, however, but when it comes to card art, we're directed to nail the story as simply as possible. And this story is only about the Star Destroyers of the 7th fleet. That's it.

I know it would be a lot more hard work, but I'm kinda hoping that you one day get to show a full Imperial or Rebel fleet!

All this cool Star Wars art is great. Makes me hope that FFG will get the rights for the prequel movies because of all the cool ships and vehicles in them. The plots might be take it or leave but it all look cool.

Thank you & lol mini rants welcome! As in Ep-I, II, III? They already have some rights since Ep-VII came out or just after. Usually whenever I work on something it takes roughly a year, sometimes 2 years before it hits the shelves or I can post.

The timing I can understand completely with start of projects then the rest of development before release. And I do mean Ep 1,2 & 3. I would love to have a few Eta 2s for X Wing or Chargers c70 for Armada. It just that I have not seen anything really being released from that Era.

Very nice details on the roofs of the tiered bridge! In my opinion, the original concepts were based on this Cold War style of prison facility, goulaag, or tiered emperor capital building. I imagine that the first concepts looked more like cold war facilities with large hammer or scickle facades, riding atop imposing spear heads or arrows. ... like a very strange version of the Hindi depiction of the heavenly war.

I believe the distinctive shape of the bridge tower is inspired by the WWII Yamato battleship.
