Description
Alright, so it's been awhile since the last time I drew Rouge. That was like, a long time ago, back in I believe album sixteen and we're on forty one right now. I figured I'd draw her in a completely different set up than what she usually wears. I've given her a beach outfit and I made it so that she was relaxing on the beach in Emerald Coast. Figured it'd be the perfect scene for a treasure hunter going on vacation, you know. Seeing as how I don't draw Sonic characters as much though, I did a little more extra with the background. I made both classic Sonic and classic Amy, even though they aren't in the Adventure era, I thought it'd be cute to see them come across the "killer" whale that, I guess you'd call that sonic, modern Sonic had to deal with. And I say killer in quotation marks because, well, I mean look at him, he's a giant smiley boi. He can't help how destructive he is when he greets visitors.
Anyways, I figured this would be a good set up for a future drawing I have in mind for Rouge. No spoilers but I'll give you a hit, two thieves from two worlds will collide and it will also add some back story to those mysterious portals that's been popping up all around the all known multiverse. You know the portal similar to the one in Green Team, which allowed Peridot and Froppy to team up temporarily. We can say that the portal that showed up at the end was probably merely a coincident. But we don't know for a fact what triggered it's appearance to bring Peridot back. The portal is not entirely random, but whatever it's origins may be, should hopefully be revealed to us once this story line fully starts. But for now, I want to make a short story for this little drawing, consider it chapter one of the future mini series I have in mind for this little drawing. So without further adieu, let's get right into the story.
Rogue has taken a much needed vacation from all of the mayhem caused by Eggman and his army of robots. After the events of Forces, Rouge took a step back into the nostalgic past and decided she wanted to plan a get away trip to the Emerald Coast back on Earth. About a week into her vacation, Rouge has set up a nice little relaxing spot close to the waters on the beaches, with her little umbrella, her beach chair and a nice cold glass of some fruity alcoholic beverage to sooth her tired body. She packed a magazine with her to read for today, and she noticed something rather interesting that caught her eye. The Chaos Emeralds, were missing.
Rouge: "Such nice weather out here today, the soothing sun and the calming waves really puts my mind at ease after all we've been going through." Rouge takes out a magazine from her duffel bag. "Huh, now that I'm all set up here, I might as well see what this whole missing Chaos Emerald thing is about..."
Rouge reads through the magazine, aside from all of the useless information about random celebrities and current events she had to skim through, she finally got to the main talking point in the magazine.
Rouge: "Oh, I see. So all of the Chaos Emeralds have mysteriously gone missing you say. No news there... if I were to have to take a wild guess, that egghead probably just stol..." Rouge took notice of an article about these strange portals potentially being the cause of this incident. "Huh, what's this all about..."
Rouge flipped through the pages and got to the article about the portals. Oddly enough these portals may have some strange correlations to the missing emeralds. She read further into the pages and found some useful information that may lead to the whereabouts of the missing Chaos Emeralds.
Rouge: "Portals have been popping up all around our cities and neighborhoods, tempting people to come through them and potentially making them go missing. However some people seem to come back after going through these portals, saying that they were in a world unlike ours, worlds similar to that of the TV shows and movies they watch. Interesting... oh!" Rouge found an interesting article with picture proof of the Chaos Emeralds with the portal behind them. "Police have stated that the portals could be the reason why the Chaos Emeralds have gone missing, placed within the museums that the famous hedgehog know as Sonic... donated to... yada yada yada."
Rouge placed the magazine down on the chair and took a sip of her drink. She removed her glasses and placed them within the bag while also retrieving her usual get up out of said bag.
Rouge: "So, the Chaos Emeralds are actually missing, missing from this world, and those portals are the cause for their disappearance huh?" Rouge removed her beach cloths and puts her suit on. "Alright then, I guess that's a good first step into figuring out how to get the Chaos Emeralds back then." Rouge put her shoes and gloves on, then proceeded to pull her glove tighter on her hand as she makes a fist. "Looks like my vacation's over then." Rouge's back turned to the camera, as she snaps the base of the glove to her arm. "Time for this treasure hunter, to get back to work." Rouge leaves her beach setup behind as she sets out to find those portals. "Look out Chaos Emeralds, mama's coming to find you." Rouge walks away as the scene freezes, to be continued.
Well, there you have it, a little story to kick off this little mini series. We'll maybe figure out more about these portals, but more likely than not, they'll just serve as a connector between two worlds. If you can take a wild guess as to what universe Rouge will be heading off to, you win a metaphorical medal, just as rewarding as a regular gold medal and with the same amount of meaning to it. Ha I kid, but do feel free to guess. With the Fan Art section temporarily suspending Mature Fan Art drawings, I will most likely be able to draw these two worlds collide sooner that you think. It all depends on when I'll draw it. For now though, I'll leave you here with this drawing of Rouge. Let's see where this little mini series will take us, and let's see if these portals will make even more stories come to fruition. Until then here's a Beach Rouge, enjoy.
