Hellooo.
Here is a concept image of a derelict Shopping Mall. The kind of 1970’s hopeful-regeneration in a war torn area, left to rot by the original owners and overran with bad guys
The focus here is to depict – in the required style – a run down urban area, with high rises around and the “ prosperous” Mall central to the piece. It came out ok.Original res 3600 wide
Painted in PS CS3
Wacom Intous 3 tablet
About 8-9 hours painting time - and some researching etc.
I am tired today - where can I buy 12 hours sleep?

I grew up in the late 70s/early 80s, and I remember how commercial buildings were designed back than.

I have a question... You see your shadows, especially on the mall, itself - you see how the shadows aren't really that much darker than the lighting colour -only differed in tone, giving the piece the effect that its very very sunny. Do you do those colours when you paint in, or do you mess with curves after you're done with the piece to achieve that look?
