Description
All the background wynglings are entirely random, if they happen to look like anyone's character it was entirely by coincidence.
-----------------------------------
The wyngling' s voice had echoed through the hall. The noise grabbing the attention of passing inhabitants. They surrounded the two wynglings, some fearful, others curious. A few passed wary glances before quickening their pace, and others pretended not to notice the commotion. Soon, a small circle of wynglings had formed around Eliane and Judal.
A painful silence ensued as Eliane's mind scrambled to find a way to defuse the situation at hand. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't just run. He would just chase her. She needed to figure out a way to get away without causing any unnecessary hassle. Not to mention, she was reluctant to leave her rock... Eliane knew one thing for certain, she would not place herself in danger for a stone. Well, she wouldn't fight over one at least. She decided she'd try one last attempt to reclaim her precious treasure. Mustering up all the courage she could, she lowered her eyes an attempt to look authoritative-she feared looking intimidating would only make matters worse-and spoke in a clear, even tone. "I'm not going to fight you over a rock! Now please, give it back."
Eliane could feel her legs shaking and tried her best to look relaxed and in control. This did not go unnoticed by her adversary, who seemed to grow more confident upon seeing her.
He scoffed and shows no attempt to hide it. "Didn't you hear me?" He replied sneeringly, "It's right over there. All you have to do is get through me." His eyes locked with Eliane's. It was so strange, she thought. He seemed to be watching her, studying her movements. Every small shift her body made was balanced out with a movement of his own. Had it not been for the current circumstances, Eliane would have found it amusing. Usually it was she doing the studying. Speaking of which, her breaking got to work once again.
Subject's body is spread out to defend against offensive attacks, but poised to use evasive and offensive tactics if need be. Confrontation should be avoided and gaining distance is key. Subject is ready to fight, attempts to suede into battle include using taunts and enraging the opponent. Do not Engage, it repeated, and as much as it pained her to leave her treasure, it was evident that Eliane would not be able to retrieve it without locking into battle with a wyngling who clearly outmatched her.
Matching the wyngling's gaze, she turned around and began to walk steadily away.
"No."
"What?!" She heard him cry out, "You Coward! You can't just walk away from a challenge."
"Just did." Was her curt reply. Eliane inwardly flinched. Perhaps she took that one a little too far. She recovered by continuing in a calm, but authoritative tone. "I refuse to engage in a pointless battle over something I can easily re-acquire." She tried to speak as politely as possible. If anger was the wyngling's tactic to get her to fight, it was unfortunately working. Eliane could feel irritation well up in her chest. She wanted to say something snippy, she knew she could, but her intuition and fear of getting hurt kept her mouth shut.
Her annoyance only rose as she heard his voice again. "How Dare-"
"I hope you enjoy your new rock." She said, cutting him off perhaps a little more aggressively than she had intended. She has had enough of this wyngling. She had apologized, attempted to make peace, and even allowed him to keep the stone. 'I hope it was worth it' she added inwardly. Eliane could feel the tension rising between them, if the shocked faces of the spectators weren't enough of a clue. "Have a nice day." She finished. Outwardly she showed only confidence, but inside, her heart was pounding in her chest as she struggled to maintain her composure. Eliane wanted so badly to call him out on everything: his stance, his lies about his strength, and most importantly, his deplorable social skills. But instead, she continued walking.
She had nearly reached the end of the hall when suddenly she say wyngling's running in every direction-away from her. She stopped in her tracks and swung her head around as she heard the shrill yell fo the wyngling behind her.
"YOU LITTLE WORM!" He boomed, running toward her with uncanny speed, "GET BACK HERE AND FINISH THE FIGHT!!"
Eliane felt her body go cold as she realized what was happening. Not even her mind knew what to do, everything was happening so fast, and she prayed to Chii'Falla for strength to return to her legs. All the while, the teffifying wyngling grew ever closer...
